Single Entry Transactions for agents with real-time rates direct from carriers |
|
Indianapolis, IN (April 22, 2004) — AMS-Rackley’s newest product, SETWrite, enables agents to enter information once into a single web interface and receive real-time rates and related information directly from participating carriers. With its single-entry functionality, data entered to generate a rate is ready for submission as part of the policy writing process. The carriers available today in SETWrite are: The Hartford Financial Services Group, Progressive Insurance and Travelers. Penn National Insurance, Hanover Insurance and Citizens Insurance and Kemper Auto & Home, a Unitrin Company, have also agreed to participate in SETWrite.
Salil Donde, president of AMS-Rackley stated: “Entering information once that retrieves real-time rates directly from the carrier’s own web sites, or rating systems, will be the preferred method of workflow in the independent agency channel.” Donde added “SETWrite offers significant advantages to our carrier partners by placing them in a preferred selling position. The simplified workflow assures a higher probability of submissions from their agents. We have received an overwhelming response from other carriers eager to participate in SETWrite and expect to announce additional partners in the coming months, especially since our technology requires minimal carrier resources or investment.”
The Hartford Financial Services Group, one of AMS-Rackley’s first SETWrite partners, is proud to be a pioneer in bringing agents the tools they need to satisfy clients “Independent agents want the flexibility to choose how they want to work, and our partnership with AMS-Rackley gives them one more way to easily do business directly from their own systems. It’s part of The Hartford’s commitment to help agents deliver the highest quality of service to their customers,” said Jonathan Bennett, senior vice president of The Hartford’s Personal Lines Division.
Mike Foy, president and CEO of the Foy Insurance Group, a large multi-location agency in Exeter, NH and a member of the AMS-Rackley users committee, comments: “The committee has worked with the AMS-Rackley team to structure SETWrite so it meets our needs in today’s competitive landscape. SETWrite interfaces to AMS and other management systems as well as to 3rd party data-providers. The benefit to our agency is the ability to retrieve an accurate rate quickly and directly from multiple carriers, which keeps our CSR’s focused on providing our clients with up to date, accurate information without having to go to each carrier’s web site.”
SETWrite technology, based on the Microsoft® .NET framework, has been in use at many of AMS-Rackley’s carrier customers for over two years. Penn National Insurance in Harrisburg, PA currently supports its agents with the AMS-Rackley Web product. Sharon Marburger, Director of Internal Operations at Penn National Insurance stated in a recent case study developed jointly by Penn National and Microsoft, “Given AMS-Rackley’s expertise, familiarity and flexibility with our agent base, there really was no other choice.”
