AMS Signs 11 New Carriers, adds New Business Workflow to TransactNOW
New commitments bring number of carrier partners to 35. Data bridging and real-time response available for personal and commercial lines.

Indianapolis, IN (April 22, 2004) — AMS Services announced today the signing of 11 more carriers as TransactNOW partners, and the availability of single-entry real-time new business workflow using TransactNOW for all carriers that support data bridging and real-time response.

The 11 newest carriers are ACUITY, Central Mutual Insurance Company, Donegal Insurance Companies, First Insurance Company of Hawaii, Ltd., General Casualty Insurance Companies, New York Central Mutual Fire Insurance Company, Penn National Insurance, Selective Insurance Group, United Fire & Casualty Company, Wausau Insurance and Westfield Insurance Companies.

In just twelve months time, 35 national and regional carriers have begun using TransactNOW to provide real-time billing, claim, and policy view inquiries, real-time endorsements, and instant sign-on to carrier Web sites. With even more carriers on the way, a daily increase in registered agencies, and expansion into new business processing, TransactNOW has transformed the idea of single entry real-time carrier interface into a standard daily workflow for all AMS management system customers.

Data bridging enables the integration of quote and application data, already entered on an AMS system, with carrier proprietary systems, thereby eliminating double entry as the agent completes the transaction on the carrier system. Carriers who support real-time response can fully process a submission and immediately return an answer, without the agent having to leave the management system. By leveraging investments carriers have already made in ACORD XML and Web site policy systems, including full automation of business rules and edits, practical new business workflow can be efficiently developed and deployed within TransactNOW.

“We are pleased to welcome our newest carrier partners to TransactNOW,” said Dave Shea, president, AMS Services. “These new carriers and the availability of the data bridging feature are great examples of AMS’s continued focus on building the value of TransactNOW for our agency customers. We are grateful to our carrier partners and agency customers for embracing TransactNOW and making it an unqualified success.”

Martha Williamson from ONB Insurance Agency and incoming President of the AMS Users’ Group added, “Our TransactNOW agents are saving as much as 10 minutes per inquiry and endorsement transaction today. Instant sign-on through Carrier Passport brings the value of carrier Web sites right into our workflow. And now the addition of new business workflow will dramatically extend our productivity gains. The AMS Users’ Group is grateful for the partnership of all our carriers and encourages every agent to take advantage of TransactNOW.”
