The Hartford adds Personal Lines New Business to its TransactNOW Implementation
Windsor, CT — The Hartford Financial Services Group, Inc. has added a personal lines new business data bridge to their existing TransactNOW implementation. The new business bridge enables any AMS management system customer to use TransactNOW to submit new business data to The Hartford ExpressWay. Agents will be automatically directed and signed on to The Hartford ExpressWay in a matter of seconds to complete the transaction. Since March 2003, AMS agents representing The Hartford agents have been using TransactNOW for both personal and commercial lines inquiries, Carrier Passport and endorsement processing.
TransactNOW enables AMS management system customers to process business transactions with carriers via a real-time single-entry workflow, without having to leave their system. Initially launched with billing and claim inquiries, AMS has added policy view inquiries, Carrier Passport, real-time endorsements, quote-and-issue and much, much more. Carrier Passport enables users to go directly from the TransactNOW inquiry to the full spectrum of functionality available through the carrier’s Web site without having to manually open up a new browser window.
Since its launch early in 2003, more than 3,400 agencies are actively using TransactNOW. TransactNOW uses ACORD standards and XML technology to integrate carrier Web site functionality into agency management system workflow. This means transactions and carriers can be rapidly added, and agents can rapidly deploy.
