United Fire and Casualty Joins List of TransactNOW Carriers

Windsor, CT — AMS Services, Inc. adds United Fire and Casualty to the growing list of TransactNOW™ carriers. AMS agents representing United Fire and Casualty will now have the ability to access personal and commercial lines billing, claims and policy view inquiries, plus Carrier Passport directly from their AMS management system using TransactNOW. Carrier Passport allows access to a carrier’s complete spectrum of Web functionality from TransactNOW without having to open up a new browser window. TransactNOW enables AMS management system customers to process business transactions with carriers via a real-time single-entry workflow, without having to leave their system. Initially launched with billing and claim inquiries, AMS has added policy view inquiries, Carrier Passport, real-time endorsements, quote-and-issue and much, much more. Carrier Passport enables users to go directly from the TransactNOW inquiry to the full spectrum of functionality available through the carrier’s Web site.

In the 14 months since its launch, more than 2600 agencies and 35 carriers have signed up to process nearly 60,000 transactions a month using TransactNOW, and the numbers continue to grow every day. TransactNOW uses ACORD standards and XML technology to integrate carrier web site functionality into agency management system workflow. This means transactions and carriers can be rapidly added, and agents can rapidly deploy. Developed in close cooperation with The AMS Users’ Group, TransactNOW is available to agencies using all AMS management system products. For further information, contact AMS at iisg@amsworld.com.
