AMS Announces Addition of Endorsement
Processing to TransactNOW
Expansion enables real-time policy change workflow
Windsor, CT — AMS Services today announced the addition of real-time endorsement processing to TransactNOW, to be rolled out to agents before the end of 2003. By leveraging the single sign-on features now offered through Carrier Passport, agents will be able to transact policy changes with their TransactNOW carriers in real-time, from within the daily workflow of their AMS management system.
"The addition of endorsement processing to TransactNOW provides
a real-world solution for a complex, critically important transaction
workflow," said Dave Shea, president and CEO of AMS Services Agency
Markets. "We've partnered with the AMS Users' Group to develop
a practical approach for what has proven to be a challenging issue for
the insurance industry."
The CSRs of Harry J. Boardman Insurance Agency, South Attleboro, MA
currently spend about 70% of their time processing changes. "In
a best case scenario, processing even a simple homeowners change at
a carrier's Web site takes a minimum of five minutes. Auto endorsements
are even more involved, taking a minimum of seven minutes per transaction,"
said Paulette McIntyre, personal lines CSR. "A large percentage
of that time is spent accessing the carrier's system, remembering and
re-entering passwords, and navigating where we need to be. With the
TransactNOW endorsement workflow, each CSR would gain at least an hour
per day."
TransactNOW uses ACORD standards and XML technology to integrate carrier Web site functionality into agency management system workflow. This means transactions and carriers can be rapidly added, and agents can rapidly deploy. Developed in close cooperation with The AMS Users' Group, TransactNOW is available to all agencies using AMS management system products.
